Rory couldn't believe what was happening. The Doctor, the infuriating madman who Rory felt too deeply for, was dead. Rory couldn't speak as his wife cried on the lifeless time lord's body. River said something about burning his body, but he barely heard. There was too many emotions racing through him at the moment. A man with a jug of gasoline came and went.
"There's a boat." Rory said trying to keep his voice strong. "If we're going to do this, let's do it right."
As Rory laid the other man's body onto the boat he let out a strangled sob. "I love you," he whispered. "I love you so much and you'll never know."
He brushed the Doctor's hair out of his eyes and left a kiss on his cold lips. Rory poured the gasoline over the Doctor's body, tears rolling down his face all the while, lit a match and pushed the boat away from the shore. "I love you, Doctor."
Walking back towards Amy and River he wiped his face, hiding the tears. River noticed though, and gave him a knowing look before she looked away tears in her own eyes.
