Sapphire was furious. First Gold had to comment on it being "her time of the month", then she ended up getting lost in her attempt to give him what he deserved.
All she wanted to do was go back to her cave and relax. Alone.
As she headed back, her pokenav- A gift from Ruby beeped. Checking it, she found a message from Crystal.
"Don't be mad. Ruby redecorated your cave again. You're not supposed to know."
"That prissy boy! How could he?" Sapphire muttered, cursing to herself.
Angrier than before as she entered the cave, she braced herself for whatever Ruby had done.
The cave looked almost exactly the same. The only difference was that a vase filled with roses stood on a single table, only big enough to hold the vase and a card.
Stepping closer, Sapph thought she heard a noise, but didn't give it any thought. Reading the card out loud, she became puzzled by the message.
"Turn around? Huh?" She asked, leaving the question open ended. Still she looked anyway to try and find her answer.
Standing in the entrance was Ruby, who promptly walked up to her and planted a kiss on her lips.
Eventually pulling out of the kiss, Ruby finished with a simple "Happy Valentine's Day Sapph."
"I guess everything you do isn't all bad," Sapphire replied, a blush crossing her cheeks.
Out of character as this is, I'm happy with the end result. I'll probably write a little drabble almost every holiday.
