Okay, so I thought I would feed my Kingdom Hearts obsession by writing a compilation of one or two shots and putting them up. My husband has read them and he really likes them, but I think he might be a TAD biased. ;) Anyway, enjoy!
The Color of Cotton Candy

Character: Sora
Ah, finally some peace, thought the young key blade wielder as he lowered Three Wishes, the gift he had received from Aladdin as an appreciation for helping keep Princess Jasmine safe
Sora, Donald and Goofy had just landed in Hollow Bastion and were on their way to see Leon and the gang to check in with them and see how all was going.
A sigh escaped Sora's lips as he and his companions made their way towards Merlin's House, but he got sidetracked a moment later by a sight he had not seen for years, it seemed.
Torn between what to do, Sora let Donald and Goofy enter Merlin's House, but he himself redirected his own path and started climbing the stairs leading to the bailey two at a time until he reached his desired area.
Sora stood, taking everything in as he looked out over the stone wall at the sprawling sunset which covered the sky of Hollow Bastion, embracing the world in beautiful yellows and warm oranges while soft pink hues highlighted the clouds, making them look like floating cotton candy
"It's just like back home," he said, his tone full of wonder, and was almost reverently quiet.
His heart skipped a beat as he recalled that last sunset he had shared with Kairi back on the island, and the conversation they had.
She had asked him something he never really thought of before, but something he was certainly thinking about now. She had asked him not to change, and to always stay the same.
Most days out on the hunt he felt as if he had broken that promise. There was just something about battling Heartless that sometimes made him feel as if he had no hope left as they just kept coming, and coming. But here, as he looked out at the setting sun he was the same Sora as he was then.
"Don't worry, Kairi, I won't change. I'll stay the same, for you. I promise."
