I, Bluecookiedough do not own Skullduggery Pleasant.

I back up and turn around, starting to run. The bile rises up in the back of my throat at the sight I just witnessed. But I don't have the time to stop and puke now, I just need to get away.
There is something grounding in running, the steady beat of my heart pumping along in time with my feet. My breathing is starting to even out as I fall into a steadier rhythm and start to pace myself. It is dark outside and I know not many people will be out at this time of night.
I don't stop to consider what I just saw and as I pass my house I don't stop for that either. I turn to cross the street and see a bright light out of the corner of my eye. Then there is nothing.

I am driving along sitting in the front passenger seat as I look out the window to my left. I am trying to ignore Skullduggery, my partner who is humming something I don't recognize. Although if I did I'd probably get offended, seeing as he is way off key in his humming.
I start to say something when I see a dark figure flashing in the headlights. A brief thought goes through my head, who would be out this late besides us? Then there is a large BANG! And the car spins out of control.

*******************************************

My head spins and my ears ring as I slowly open my eyes. I try to lift my head and I almost black out, but I know I can't stay here forever. I turn over onto my stomach, making sure to keep my eyes closed and my head low to the ground. And even then my whole body thrives with pain and I cry out. "Oh my God!" I hear someone say, I am too tired at the moment to place it, but just before black out he leans over me and picks me up. I cry out again. The last things I see are his skull and the other girl he stops to pick up off the street. Then I black out just like the other girl, the one with black hair and that cool leather jacket, whoever she may be.

When I come to I see that I am back in a sanctuary medical room. The doctor comes over and says hello as soon as he sees me awake. "What happened?" I ask.
"You ran over a young girl and got into a car crash, you've been in a coma for three days," he replied.
"Seriously? That's horrible! Is the girl ok? What about skull? Who is that girl anyway? Is she one of us? What's her name? What-"
The doctor cut me off in the middle of my rapid fire of questions. He gave me a glare that was half annoyed- half angry, with a dash of contempt. Which was understandable, considering how anyone would be lucky to have my concern, as I am highly superior to most if not all. I could understand how jealous he was of that getting all my attention. He then starts to answer my questions bringing me out of my thoughts.
"The girl you hit is still sleeping, she's going to be fine. Mr. Pleasant is fine as well. We do not know who the girl is or really anything about her." He finishes. Well, that really puts things into perspective.
