Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Percy Gets it Right" from Season 7. Enjoy and comment.

At harvest time, the air is full of the smell of fresh fruit and vegetables.

All the engines work hard, delivering loads of fruit and vegetables to market.

But one day, heavy rain and mist poured down Toby's branch line.

Percy was delivering a load of fresh tomatoes, when he felt a big bump.

"Bust my buffers!" exclaimed Percy. "What was that?"

The fireman put up the warning flag, while Percy's driver inspected the track.

"The track is crumbling." said the driver.

"We must tell Sir Topham Hatt!" decided Percy.

Percy puffed away as fast as he could.

Percy puffed up to Gordon.

"I have important news!" he exclaimed. "The tracks on Toby's line are wobbly!"

"That's not news!" grunted Gordon. "Can't stop to listen to silly news from silly engines!"

This made Percy very cross.

"Gordon never listens to me!" snapped Percy.

Then, Percy saw Sir Topham Hatt.

"Sir! I have important news!"

"Not now Percy!" boomed Sir Topham Hatt. "Thomas, you are to collect the prize bull on Toby's line."

"Yes sir!" said Thomas.

"But those tracks are wobbly!" cried Percy.

"They are safe enough." said Sir Topham Hatt.

Thomas puffed away.

Percy was now crosser than ever.

"Nobody ever listens to me!"

Thomas carefully puffed through the rain.

Soon, he had collected the prize bull, and set off.

The rain had made the tracks even more wobbly.

Suddenly, there was a deep rumbling sound!

Thomas's driver applied the brakes, but it was too late! Thomas crashed into a landslide of dirt!

"Cinders and ashes!" cried Thomas. "I'm stuck!"

And he was.

Later that evening, Thomas hadn't returned.

Percy was worried

"Thomas is in trouble!" he thought.

Gordon and James didn't care.

"Worried wheels!" huffed Gordon.

"Fussy funnel!" said James.

"Can we find Thomas, please?" asked Percy to his driver.

"Yes! We'll go right away!"

Percy was nervous, but his lamp shone brightly in the dark.

The tracks wobbled, but Percy kept on.

Soon, Percy saw Thomas.

Thomas was very happy to see Percy.

"I'll have you out in no time!" said Percy.

Percy pulled and puffed, and pulled and puffed, as hard as he could, and at last Thomas was freed.

"Thank you!" exclaimed Thomas.

"It's great to be useful!" said Percy.

It was dawn when the track was cleared, and Percy and Thomas set back home,

Sir Topham Hatt was waiting.

"Thomas is here!" exclaimed Percy.

"Percy saved the day!" said Thomas.

"I'm sorry for not believing you." said Sir Topham Hatt. "We must do a better job of listening to you in the future!"

Percy was delighted!
