The blood streamed steadily from his nose. He ignored it; letting the gore slip down his chin. Now and again a drip would tremble there then fall haphazardly onto his shirt.
"Dean? Dean! DEAN!"
A voice suddenly cut through the white-noise buzz filling his ears. A welcome voice. A life line. He blinked, slowly raised his gaze to his brother's.
"Dean, what happened?"
Dean's unfocused gaze roamed the empty room, taking in the streamers of crimson ribboned across the walls. He sucked in a harsh breath. His eyes transitioning into twin pools of despair.
"I—I d-don't know."
