Misa put her new dress on, the blue and green one she just bought this morning when she got the call.
When she picked up the phone, she couldn't have been happier, Light was calling.
" Yagami-san!" She had called out into the mobile device.
He told her to meet her at the park, the one they had their first date at, because he had something important to tell her that couldn't wait any longer.
As would any young girl, Misa assumed the natural, that Light would be proposing that night.
So, with her dress on, she looked in the mirror. Her dress was strapless, with green satin and blue netting over the bottom, below the waist. Blonde hair was curled and pinned up, and gray and blue eye shadow sat on her eye lids. Misa was prepared for the storybook proposal she always dreamed of, with the sun setting behind her and Light, the air just cold enough for Light to offer her his sweater, and Misa to accept before the young couple took a long stroll. It would be amazing.
The car ride to the park seemed to take forever. Every little thing that could possibly go wrong rushed through her head. What if her mascara ran? What if her dress ripped? The thought was horrifying.
The park itself, when she got there, looked beautiful. Misa took a minute to take everything in. This would be where she would bring her children, and tell them about how cute and clumsy their father was many years ago. Where she would come, gray haired next to her true love and watch the sunset.
In short, it was perfect, absolutely perfect, nothing made a sound, save for a bird chip every once in a while. The silence was broken by the sound of car horn beeping repeatedly. Misa turned around, and saw Light waving at her from his Prius.
" Misa!" He called with a smile.
" Light!" she blushed and ran over to him as Light stepped out of his car.
H e looked ADORABLE! A black tuxedo with matching pants and a….pink tie…
"Shall we take a walk?" He asked with a smile. Misa nodded rather quickly.
An hour passed, and the couple went out to eat at the Italian restaurant across the street. Misa always thought Light was adorable when he ate, but then again, when wasn't he to her? Anyway, she couldn't think of a better way to spend her engagement night.
When the two left the restaurant, it was already night time, the moon shone brightly and brought out the glow on the Misa and Light's faces. She knew it would happen soon, Light would get down on one knee, tell her how much he loved her and how he would love her to be the mother of his children.
Then the moment came.
" Misa, doll…"
" Yes?" Misa said hopefully.
" There's something I've been meaning to tell you for a while, I just wasn't sure how. Is it okay, if I just go and blurt out my feelings like an idiot?"
She nodded vigorously and made sure not to miss a moment of her engagement.
" Alright.. here it goes.." the boy said shakily.
Time seemed to pass forever until Light spoke what Misa was sure to be the most amazing words to come out of anybody's mouth in the history of forever.
" Misa, I'm gay."

Just a little drabble that's been stuck in my head forevveerr, there's a MattxMello one up there in my brain to, but I don't feel like writing it yet.
I'm not sure I like this fic at all.. It's a new style of writing and I've never done a one-shot before… What do you guys think?
