The Sorting of Audrey Weasley

So I chose Holmes as Audrey's maiden name because I've watched too much Sherlock Holmes (again) and thought to name her that! I thought the sorting hat would be a good idea to get to know Audrey and of course how she meet Percy to begin with.

The kids on the train told me not to worry. Gemma Farley debunked anything that involved wrestling trolls but still not many students believed her. Percy Weasley said that you had to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

"Audrey Holmes," said possibly one of the sternest teachers. I smiled weakly as the hat touched my plain brown hair and covered blue eyes. I couldn't see everybody staring at me any more and the butterflies in my stomach slowed down some.

The hat felt heavy on my head as it studied my thoughts. This hat probably got many students come up all nervous. I feel a bit bad for the hat, perhaps I should clear my thoughts some so he would less of a hard time.

That is very considerate of you.

Then I held back a gasp, the hat could communicate with me? Perhaps the hat takes suggestions of what house I should be in. No I wanted to know where I should honestly be, not just because of the people I talked to on the train told me to.

Yes I can speak to you I am sorry if I startled you. Yes I do take the occasional suggestion, what people have you talked to on the train?

Gemma Farley, Percy Weasley, Robert Hillard, Penelope Clearwater, Marcus Flint. They were really nice except for Marcus, he was all jumpy.

Yes, I believe I just placed Miss Farley in Slytherin not much long ago along with Mr. Flint. Clearwater and Hillard in Ravenclaw I believe. Not the Weasley child yet. Do you have a preference?

No not really, I mean its usually up to you most of the time isn't it?

Usually, yes it is, lets take a look into your head for awhile now. Hmmm, well there this plenty of determination and ambitions. You wanted to be prime minister before your Hogwarts letter I see, with a sense of power. A need to follow tradition and resourceful as well. How does the Slytherin house sound to you?

I'll be with Gemma! And Flint... But wait a minute don't they only take purebloods?

Not really, lets take a chance with the others for a moment. Hmm ahh yes, what about Hufflepuff? You have a certain dedication, a dedication that gets a hardworked job done. You were kind enough to clear your mind a bit for me did you not?

Hufflepuff doesn't sound too bad if those are the qualities. Nobody really talked about that house on the train ride here. I'm pretty fair too. I mean back in primary school both me and Hannah Newcastle reached for the last piece of cake. Then I remembered how she wasn't able to be there for Emma Watson's birthday party the day before and didn't get a cupcake. So I let her have the last piece.

As for the other houses you have the creativity for the house of the Raven, but still had many missed marks on your papers. Not much bravery, for the Gryffindor house, as I see in your head. What do you think you shall be?

Is there such a think as Slytherpuff, that way I could be in both?

I wish I could say, perhaps with what I can see in your head I see greatness with Hufflepuff or Slytherin. Would you like to have a final say?

Well, I don't want to take up too much of your time. Either one sounds like the perfect house for me.

My dear this conversation only lasted 3 minutes, I have had longer conversations. If you insist I'd better say:

HUFFLEPUFF!

I raced off to a table filled with cheering people with yellow and black hangings. All of them were really nice and I sat next to a boy and waited for the next person to be sorted.
