Disclaimer: I do not own Rurouni Kenshin.
This is a sonnet I submitted for English class. It's Shakespearean as I am attempting to compete with the Bard himself.
Heart of a Swordsman
A warrior he was, of unsurpassed skill
Of fearsome repute was he to all men
He ne'er relented or shrank from a kill
A deadly assassin he was back then
He gazed at his hands, so drenched in men's blood
And his spirit sighed and wept from within
He refused the path upon which he trod
And swore to atone for every grave sin
His journey began to seek salvation
To be redeemed for all his heinous crimes
Ridding himself of every frustrationAnd working to bring forth more peaceful times
This renegade swordsman, loved by his friends
Shall rest in peace once his sad journey ends.
