Tawnypelt's POV:

Tawnypelt's POV:

Mouse dung! Tawnypelt snarledinternally. The Clan was hustling and bustling with activity, and she would never sneak out of camp unseen!

Thankfully, though, most of the activity was coming from the nursery, because Lilywhisker had given birth to new kits, in addition to Frostedpaw.

Just as she was about to leave through the entrance to ShadowClan camp, she heard a loud voice call, "Tawnypelt!" She cursed loudly under her breath, but turned to see young Frostedpaw running toward her.

Frostedpaw skidded to a stop just before running into Tawnypelt, kicking up mounds of dirt. Tawnypelt coughed, then returned her gaze to the fluffy white apprentice, "Yes, Frostedpaw?" She asked gently but hastily; she wanted to get out of camp as soon as possible.

"Blackstar wants to see you!" Frostedpaw answered cheerfully.

Tawnypelt groaned internally, but she nodded, padding off toward her leaders den.

When she arrived at the entrance to his den, he heard him muttering to someone, probably Russetfur, about some trouble at one of the borders. She didn't understand well, but she did hear the name "WindClan" mentioned.

She went rigid and stammered as she called, "B-Blackstar?"

"Ah, Tawnypelt," The big black and white tom emerged from the den, and stood in front of her.

"I hear there's trouble on one of the borders?" She asked, and then her breath froze. Blackstar will realize I was eavesdropping!

"Tawnypelt, your hearing has grown quite good," He nodded in approval. "That is correct. We have caught WindClan scent on the border. And it's fresh."

Tawnypelt stood rigid once more. Crowfeather!

"However," Blackstar began. "We have noticed that it's only one cat who has been on the border, so it's not a claim on our territory. But, just to be safe, I want you to patrol the border."

Her ears perked up, "Oh, thank you Blackstar, I will!" She said happily, then Blackstar's eyes narrowed. "I mean, yes, sir!"

He stared at her with narrowed eyes for a moment, and then nodded, "Very well. Carry on."

She nodded and sped off toward the entrance to ShadowClan camp. Yes! She cried happily internally. I'm coming Crowfeather!

Crowfeather's POV:

"Mrrow oof!" Crowfeather cried as his apprentice, Heatherpaw, landed on him.

"Wow, Crowfeather," Heatherpaw mewed with a grin. "You're off today, aren't you?"

Crowfeather looked at her, keeping his expression blank. "I'm just a little tired." Of course I'm tired. He mewed to himself, feeling elated. I visited Tawnypelt last night…

A sharp cuff on his ear brought him back to the waking world. He then remembered he was having a training session with Heatherpaw.

He rolled himself over and pinned his apprentice to the ground, "Good job, Heatherpaw," He mewed, licking his apprentice's ear affectionately. "Practice is over."

Heatherpaw blushed and her eyes shined, "Thanks, Crowfeather!" She bounded off to boast to the other apprentices.

Barkface padded over, "I think Heatherpaw has taken a liking too you," He teased. "I bet Nightcloud will be jealous!"

Crowfeather rolled his eyes, "Is that ALL you wanted to talk about, Barkface?" He asked.

Barkface shook his head, still amused, "No. But Onestar wanted me to tell you that he has scented ShadowClan on the border."

Crowfeather's heart stopped for a moment and he dug his claws into the ground. Did they do something to Tawnypelt?

"Warriors have also reported that it's only one cat, so they are not planning to attack," Barkface went on. "So he wants you to patrol the border and see if you find anything."

Crowfeather want to jump for joy, but that would have been way out of character for him, and he knew that. He just nodded, "I'll see what I can dig up."

He bounded off before any other cat could stop him. Here I come, Tawnypelt!
