So Adam Rodriguez left, and is now coming back and I'm so excited! That's what spurred this whole thing! I'm so flippin' happy he decided to be a part of season 9! Woo Hoo! It's nothing much but I'm too happy he's decided to return to let this opportunity pass me by =]]
"Eric, what are you doing here?" Calleigh asked coming out of her ballistics lab, a smile crossing her lips at the sight of her boyfriend.
"I, ah came to run something past Horatio," Eric lied to her. When she gave him a curious eye, he smiled. She knew him well enough to see through the lies he was telling. "I wanted to see about getting my job back," he fidgeted. Calleigh's face was un-readable at the announcement he made. Eric's brown eyes searched hers for a sign of what she was feeling.
"That's great," Calleigh stated, the joy she verbalized not showing in her voice.
"What are you really thinking?" Eric asked, seeing through her fake excitement.
"I'd love having you back, it's just…it was kind of nice not sneaking around behind Horatio's back and not worrying about IAB…" She elaborated, her words accented by her southern drawl.
"Well, from what I hear, dayshift is pretty full, and like I told you before. For you? I'd switch to the nightshift," He said a small smile on his face.
"Well, in that case, welcome back diver-man," She flirted, smiling largely, before taking a step forward and pressing her lips firmly to his, before continuing down the hallway.
Calleigh spent the rest of the day smiling to herself, not only was she able to have an open relationship with the man of her dreams, but he got to keep the job he loved. For the first time in months, both of them felt like things were finally coming together.
