Oct. 10th, Hokage Tower
Namikaze Minato Looked out his office window, pacing as the evening sky, littered with pinpricks of light seemed to get darker. He muttered while his predecessor, Sarutobi Hiruzen, spoke. "Kushina is going to deliver soon, Minato. You should go to her." The Yondaime Hokage turns slightly and looks back out the window. "Something feel off tonight, Sandaime. Even with all of my abilities, I can't seem to place this feeling." Hiruzen takes a drag from his nearly ever-present pipe and sighs. "You will be a great father to Naruto. After all, you've been a great Hokage, possibly even better than Hashirama himself." The blond turns back to the ex-Hokage, eyes wide, "Maelstrom!" and uses the Hirashin jutsu to go to his wife.
Same Night, Undisclosed Location
Minato appears and sees his wife and rushes to her side. She beams and grabs his hand, which is now crushed because of the pain she is feeling. He places his uninjured hand on the fading seal holding back the Kyuubi to restore the shrinking power, and to make a deal…
He seemed to have entered an ethereal world that is composed of bright orange and white clouds with a great stone in the middle of the space, upon which a massive Nine-Tailed Fox was chained. Minato clears his throat while the Bijuu struggles against the bonds. The fox moves his head to the best of his ability and grunts "Yondaime… What do you want?" Minato breathes and lays out his terms with shaking breaths and after a moment's contemplation the fox slowly nods and the Yellow Flash nods in return. He leaves the place the same way he came.
