The sun was shy behind the dark clouds, the winds aggressive, and the skies pale, yet she had not felt this content in a while. Cuddled up against her love, there was no mistake that she was happy. With the good and bad in her life, she could always count on this individual to stand by her. Now thousands of miles away from home, she felt as if she was home, because she was comforted by the heat of his comfort.
"Are u cold?" he asked as he wrapped the blanket around them tighter.
She leaned back against his chest and shook her head, still mesmerized at the scenery. Even though they had probably chosen the worst time to vacation down under, they were still having the time of their lives. Finally, they had found some time alone, without their entourage to just enjoy each other.
"Are you ok?" he questioned again, wondering why his usually spunky girlfriend was so quiet.
She giggled, "I'm perfect"
"I love you" he whispered against her skin
She turned to look at him. His eyes more beautiful than the clear seas of Australia. They were so genuine and that made him the guy who she fell in love with the moment he cracked the cheesy joke.
"I love you too" she said confidently
Out of the many times they just enjoyed each others presence, this was special. It was not only Valentine's week, but it was just a time when their worries were nonexistent. Finally, they just were able to stop time and live life even if it was thousands of miles away. They were right where they always wanted to be.
