She stands on top of the rocks, she always liked to come here and meditate. She watches the waves wash the rocks and leave again. She could jump, she could die, and no one would notice. The only person who would notice is gone. No one would miss her, not on this island. The only two people who had ever cared for her are far, far away from her.

A tear rolls down her cheek. Should she jump? Or should she just wait for the middle of her second trimester? To die of the same thing she was brought to this island for. The irony was too much for her.

She takes a step forward, and suddenly feels her arm being pulled back. She startles. Who? She turns.

"What do you think you're doing Barbie?" he asks with his Southern accent.

She hides her face, her tears, her puffy eyes. No one, nobody will see her break, not on this island. The only man who ever got under her skin is gone, far away from her.

"Let go of me!" she says angry as she pushes him away from her.

"You were not thinking of jumping down the rabbit hole, are you Alice? That's a long, long way to fall"

Juliet ignores him. Who the hell does he think he is? Sawyer softens, and asks:

"Are you ok?"

Juliet takes a deep breath, no she's not. How could she possibly be ok? She was only supposed to be here for six months; instead she ends up staying for almost four years now. Forever, actually. She's been black-mailed into straying, she's nine patients die, she can't fix it, she just can't, she doesn't know how. She's seen two men who cared for her: her one died, the other left. And she was pregnant…she was most definitely not leaving this island. How could she possibly be ok?

"I'm pregnant" she says bluntly, not expecting him to show any kind of compassion, why would he?

"Oh" he nods, and there's an awkward silence, he's not a man who always has something to say, but now, he doesn't know what to say. He wonders why, "Is the Doc the daddy"

Juliet shots him an angry look, and he understands. If looks could kill, hers would have definitely had.

"Hey, I'm not the enemy here" he adds after her reaction, for some reason, he feels true empathy for her, "Does he know?"

"No"

"You didn't tell him?! It seems a pretty damn important thing to mention before someone rides into a helicopter!"

Juliet shrughs his shoulders, she doesn't want to hear this from him. He's right. Since when was she listening to a con-man?

"It wouldn't have stopped him"

"You don't know that" he suddenly feels this subject is very personal, the memory of Cassidy and the picture of Clementine pops into his head "He deserved to know. You had no right hiding that from him"

Juliet sighs. And the fall doesn't seem that long anymore, not with this much guilt.

"The Doc would had never abandoned his own child" he said gesturing to the island "He's not that kind of man" he said between his teeth. He was that kind of man, that's why he knew Jack wasn't.

Juliet chuckled.

"What? You're sticking up for him, now?" she responded sarcastically.

"I just know he wouldn't have left, if he had known" responded Sawyer uncomfortably. Never thought the day would come when he actually stuck up for Jack.

"He didn't love me" she sighed "he loved Kate…He chose to save Kate"

Again, he had no answer. The conversation had reached a point where it was painful for him too.

"You think they are together now?" she asked, he looked away, "Do you ever think about them? About them being together?" she did, she enjoyed torturing herself every night since Jack and Kate had left.

"No, I don't" he lied, he convinced her. He was a conman after all, and she backed off.

Juliet looked back at the fall, she could wait.

"It doesn't matter anymore…I'll be dead in three months"
