Luffy awoke with a start, heavily panting. He sighed in relief to see/hear his familiar surroundings(eg: zoro snoring, the men's quarters) No matter how relieved he actually was, he could not help but feel uneasy about that dream.

"Yosh!" He whispered loudly, smashing his fist into his hand. "I'll go get some meat!"

Luffy walked on deck and came out with a huge chunk of meat. "I'll go up on deck!" he exclaimed out of nowhere. And so he did.

Nami leaned back on the side of the crow's nest. She couldn't fall asleep since, well, she was the one keeping watching and, she kept having that same nightmare over and over again. Bellemere shot dead. All her mind did was play it again and again and again. Why now? Why not earlier? She was already on her journey,infact, almost done with it. Arlong was so long ago. Yet, it seemed like yesterday. The day she realized she was not alone. That she had nakama that would always stand by her. It filled her up with happiness thinking about it. She sighed and looked down on deck. Luffy!? He seemed to have recently finished a piece of meat. 'What's Luffy doing up this late?'she thought as he exclaimed:

"Oi! Nami!"

"SHH! YOU'LL WAKE EVERYONE UP!!" She whispered back, well, a bit louder than a whisper...

He smiled a response as he stretched up his arm. It caught hold of the crow's nest and catapulted him up. He landed with a soft thud!

"Luffy, why are you up this late?" Nami pondered

"I was having a nightmare!" He cheerfully exclaimed.

Nami studied her captain's face carefully yet, there was not a speck of proof that he was lying. Pshhtt. Not like he ever did.

She sighed "Well why don't you go back to sleep?"

"I can't" He whined. "It was too scary."

"It was that bad?"

Luffy looked gloomily at his shoes. "Yeah."

Nami was amazed. Nothing scared Luffy, well, except for his jii-chan of course. She sat down and Luffy sat right next to her.

"Well, do you want to tell me about it?" Nami looked at him concerned.

"No-"He paused. "But I know what will make me feel better."

He looked into her eyes. He thought-oh wait he doesn't. Nevermind. He never really stared at her like this before. A cold mask with a warm, soft feel that seemed to grasp her heart. Without warning, she could feel him wrap his arms around her. Then, he pressed his lips against hers. She didn't know what to do but hold him tight. It seemed to last forever until Luffy pulled off. I don't think that is forever. If it was forever they'd still be kissing by the time Luffy became pirate king and even after. I mean, they shouldn't kiss forever cause they need to breath y'know. Nami put a hand on his cheeck and softly kissed him again. They smiled at each other, and faded into the night.
