First Day At Work
"Shut up, Malfoy," said Hermione Granger.
Draco Malfoy took a step back.
"Mudblood," he spat.
"We both work in the Ministry now, might as well stop insulting me!"
"I'm your boss, Granger."
"That doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. Anyway it isn't anyone's hard work that got you in-just a sack of Galleons!"
"Don't you dare accuse me!"
Hermione scowled at Malfoy. She had work to do. "Goodbye, Malfoy. I have work to do."
"Like hell I care!"
"I've only just moved in, Malfoy, maybe you can be a little more welcoming!"
"Well, you won't be staying in my department for long."
"Yes I will!"
"I can fire you now!"
"Oh no you can't you pompous ferret. You can only complain to the relevant authorities!"
Malfoy laughed. "Another sack of Galleons should do the trick."
"Fine! Anyway, if you hate me that much, why are you still talking to me and refusing to leave?"
"Because..." he was at a loss for words.
"Oh, poor little ferret doesn't have an answer!" mocked Hermione.
Outraged, Draco Malfoy slammed his fist on Hermione's desk. "No one pushes ME around here, Granger," he said.
"Except me," said Hermione cooly.
"How much gold do you want, Granger?"
"None. I'm not as low as that, Malfoy!"
"You'll be soon enough."
