Love With Words…
I could never say I love you
We could never touch
Not without fear
Without giving up too much
I'm not strong enough to speak
Not weak enough to fall
Into your open arms
For fear I'd lose it all
We can not be together
We can't lie side by side
To think of what would happen
Should someone happen by
I can't love you in public
And secrets I can't keep
But know you are my only one
If only in my sleep
I wish that I was stronger
I yearn to be your one
Atlantis fuels my hunger
As I look upon the sun
It sets with divine beauty
The same that fires your eyes
I wonder if you realize
I map you in the skies
I trace each tender word
Repeating in my mind
Each syllable you speak
Like a treasured find
My mind has lost its innocence
With each exchange of lips
If only we were more than words
You'd have me in your grip
I know I cannot save you
Though timeless, you've saved me
And wordless though my love speaks
Words are all that we can be.
