"I was so stupid…." The blue haired girl sobbed curled up against the sewer wall.
He knelt before her a hand on her knee looking at her with concern. "No...You weren't…"
She looked at him a smile that showed she wasn't all 'there' as tears trailed down her cheeks. "I was such a fool."
The blue gem she clutched in her hand was starting to crack.
"Sayaka please...Don't say that!"
"I WAS STUPID TO BELIEVE I COULD DO ANY GOOD!" She yelled standing up and turning...Crying out in pain moments later.
"SAYAKA!" He went to her side trying to grasp onto her...Whirling her around to see the life fade from her bright blue eyes the last of her tears running down her face.
"Leo...I...I...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
The gem she clutched shattered….As energy whirled around the turtle and the magical girl, it built up around Sayaka as Leo was blasted back hitting the wall with a sickening thud.
"AUGH!"
Sayaka's scream faded..As her body hit the ground, horrific things starting to take shape…
He could see a giant figure in his fading vision...With the tail of a mermaid…
But all he could focus on was her face….Lifeless eyes now closed…

He lost consciousness hearing violin music starting….

"SAYAKA!" Leo yelled shooting up in bed, in a cold sweat breathing hard looking around him.
There was no witch...There was no Labyrinth of the Mermaid Witch...No body to show Sayaka Miki had even existed…
Leo put his head in his hands as he felt the guilt rising up again...He had met the girl when she was hunting the witches she had joined in form...They had each other's back in battle and gradually over a period of time...They had fallen for each other..
But there was always a thorn in her side...A girl named Hitomi, a boy she still had feelings for...And the act that caused Sayaka to fall into despair...Even though Leo would've given anything to be the only one she adored, the only one she admired and loved…

He didn't want the others to see him cry….But they had all come to know the danger Sayaka possessed...And got into.
The life of a magical girl was misery…
The life of a turtle in love with a magical girl was torture.
