how monsters can piss off a hero
let me count the ways...
stuff a quill rat in his/her boot. (if it'll fit. If not, skin it and stuff the skin in there with the SPIKES POINTING UP!!)
eat the corpse once you've killed him/her and take his/her stuff.
kill him/her again when he/she comes back for the stuff.
kill the mercenaries repeatedly until there are NONE left.
follow him/her into town and claim you are a pet
if hero doesn't complain about #5, kill him/her in their sleep and burn the town.
burn the town in the middle of the night and while everyone's busy with the fire gather your buddies and massacre them.
when doing #7 leave only the hero alive.
kill whoever does the healing and whoever sells potions in town.
raid the town and carry off all the merchants before the hero gets back to sell all the loot.
loot the town so nobody has anything useful to sell.
have a zealot sit the hero down and drone on and on about how Mephisto would love to have him/her as an ally or better yet a worshiper.
if hero falls asleep during #12 throw him/her in the river or pee on their head (whichever is more handy)
