As for the other members, Russel has begun a career as a drummer with a hip-hop supergroup, but has called and said he will return to Gorillaz when the time is right. Noodle has left the Maldives and is now traveling the world, she is believed to be in Taiwan. And finally 2D is still attempting a horrible attempt at an acting career.
Murdoc decided to wander into the Cinema, which also served as a massive Television, there he saw, in massive hi-def, Taiwanese troops marching through Taipei.
"This is a special BBC report. The ROC government has just begun operations with the assistance of the Japanese Self Defense force to find a wanted domestic terrorist who is believed to be hiding there. In addition, the guitarist for the popular band, Gorillaz, has gone missing in the wake of these operations.
That can't be. Murdoc thought. He ran back to the lobby, where he saw the answering machine blinking, how come he hadn't noticed before. He pressed it. "You have one new message, 4:32 AM this morning."
He heard the panicked voice of Noodle. "Murdoc! They're coming! Are you there Murdoc? Are you there! You have to send me the passwords, you have to…wait, they're here." A voice was heard yelling in Chinese, then Japanese, and then English…"You are wanted by the Japanese government, come out unarmed with your hands raised!"
The Japanese had failed to destroy Noodle during the El Manana shoot, now they had to finish their job. Murdoc listened with horror, cursing under his breath, as he heard Noodle screaming in her native language, and her body being dragged across the floor.
Though, they didn't kill her yet. The evidence a coroner or just anyone would've seen from her remains would be too revealing, they had to kill her in secret. She was still alive for now, but where?
