Well, what can I say? This is my first fanfic, though it doesn't exactly mean you should treat me as a noob! I take reviews(of course) and tips, they're welcome!

CHAPTER ICHI: THE STRENGTH OF MEN

"Please, Shimizu-san. It would be easier if you cooperated," the wrinkled woman stated.

But no matter what she had said, I continued to shut my eyes and squeal as the next photo had went by.

" Shimizu-san! You must open your eyes, and face your fears!"

"Never will I ever!" I said in a most childish way.

The therapist frowned up her already pruned face, sighed, and stopped flashing the photos, "Maybe the next appointment, Shimizu-san. But sooner or later, you'll have to muster up some confidence. I frowned myself, "Yes ma'am….."

I stood up, grabbing my satchel, heading towards the splintered door, but as I put my hand on the handle, I froze in pure terror.

"Anything wrong, Shimizu-san?" she said with a smirk, but I just glared, "You know what's wrong, old hag."

She scoffed at my behavior, "Clearly, you're not afraid of...going outside where other men are, are you? Or am I wrong?"

"Ha! Please." I said, trembling while doing so.

Hesitatingly, I twist the knob and peek outside, checking for the opposite of my kind. The coast is clear. On my ninja sandals, I hurriedly walk down the sanitized hall filled with portraits of long-gone men. I quietly squeal and being squeezing my eyes shut, occasionally peeking for my way out.

Finally, I gain entrance to the gates, which needs a bar code to open. I dig into my satchel and pull out the bracelet I never wore, which contains a bar code with an ID, and scan it across the detector on the gates.

As it opens, I don't wait for it to spread out fully. Instead, as a tiny opening emerges, I force my scrawny frame to slide through. The benefits of being small; Escaption.

Unlike other citizens, I take alleys for transportation, rather than the streets.

Of course, there is rain, rain, pouring rain. What do you expect, in the Land of Rain?

I run pass the homeless, which I encounter pretty much every day. I scream as one actually touches my foot.

Remind me to take a bath tonight.

If you were wondering, yes, this chapter was suppose to be small.

It is just a sample to see what you readers like before I go and spam with some crap nobody likes.

Enjoy? Let me know!
