All for the Purple Rose:

Teru

Teru couldn't stop his tears from falling. His heart hurt so much he thought it would stop beating. His mind kept trying to tell him that this was all just some big silly joke that the world was playing on him, and that Jasmine would show up with his comforting smile and ask him what he was crying about; any thing to keep him from falling deeper into despair.

It took him a while to approach the coffin, the mere thought of seeing his friend and sempai lifeless made fresh tears fall from his already red eyes. Eventually he had calmed down enough to look at Jasmine. Even in death Jasmine had the showiness that Teru had always admired. Teru thought back to the first time he had met Jasmine You, even though Teru was younger than he was, he treated him with kindness and respect.

Jasmine was always surrounded by this mysterious aura. Like Jasmine lived in a world other than the one he saw everyday. Before he knew it Teru had been drawn to Jasmine, like a moth to a flame. He wanted to catch even a glimpse of the world that Jasmine saw everyday.

Teru remembered all the times Jasmine educated him in the ways of the world, with etiquette and manners. Teru was still very young and was constantly learning new things about the world. When ever he had questions Teru would always look to Jasmine for help and support.

It was because of Jasmine that he learned the metal attitude of a musician. Whenever he was unsure of what to do on stage he would look to Jasmine to see what to do. He remembered a performance the band had played right after Jasmine had passed just before the funeral. The stage had seemed so much emptier without Jasmine there. It was one of the saddest concerts he had ever had.

The memories of the concert brought on a fresh stream of tears. He stood there crying and staring at the coffin hoping that Jasmine would suddenly open his eyes, like he was just taking a long nap. However, deep down Teru knew that wouldn't happen, but he just couldn't bring himself to say goodbye to his most beloved sempai. Teru didn't like goodbyes, they were just too final, and Teru didn't want to think this would be the last time he would ever see Jasmine. He knew that one day he would meet Jasmine again one day. In the world that Jasmine saw every day of his life. Teru still had yet to see the world Jasmine saw, but he knew without a doubt it would be one of the most beautiful worlds he had ever seen.

Bowing deeply in gratitude and thanks in front of Jasmine's coffin he spoke a choked out promise through his tears,

"Jasmine that you so much for all the things you taught me, I swear I will keep doing my best and make you proud so I can face you with my head held high when we meet again!"

With that he turned away from the Coffin and went to sit next to Kamijo. Even with Jasmine gone, he still had other people who cared and looked after him, and right now they needed him and much as he needed them. Teru knew without a doubt Jasmine wouldn't want his death to get in the way of the band or the groups friendship. So they would keep going always looking forward until they reached there goal. To cover the world in Roses.
