Almost fifteen years ago, a prosecutor named Miles Edgeworth was accused of murdering a man named Robert Hammond. In his trial, Edgeworth's defense attorney and best friend Phoenix Wright battled against the ruthless prosecutor Manfred von Karma. The two battled relentlessly in a three-day trial and Miles Edgeworth was proven innocent and a man disguised as a boat shop caretaker named Yanni Yogi was proven to be the actual murder. The battle had been won. However, Edgeworth revealed to the court that he thought he had killed his own father in the famous DL-6 incident. Phoenix then proved that Miles did not commit that crime either and it was Manfred von Karma who had killed him. But that was fifteen years ago…

"Whoa!" a man yelled as he was thrown to the ground. The man was scared and started to crawl towards a wall. "Look, man!" the terrified man said raising his arms up. "I didn't do anything wrong! I don't even know you!" Another man stood at his feet looking down at him. He took a small hammer from his pocket and smashed both of the man's legs. "Argh!" he yelled in agony. The other man lifted him by his neck off the ground. He took a knife out and lifted it up. "Please…" the man gasped, "don't-" the man stabbed him in the stomach and dropped him. He twitched for a few seconds, then laid still.

"Happy New Year!" Apollo, Trucy, and Phoenix yelled in unison.
"Tee-hee!" Trucy giggled. "Thanks for coming over, Polly!"
"Yes, Apollo." Phoenix said. "Thanks for being here. I'm sure you had plenty of other things to do, but thank you for coming over."
"Don't mention it." Apollo shrugged. "Thank you for inviting me, Mr. Wright."
"Don't thank me. Thank Trucy. She's the one who wanted you over here."
"Oh. Well then thank you, Trucy."
"It wouldn't have been New Years' without you, Polly." Trucy said.
"Yeah." Apollo said. "See you all tomorrow!" He said and left to his apartment.
