From the depths….he returns….TO CONTINUE THE ADVENTURES OF SHADOW X!
Sorry I haven't written for a while guys, I've been busy with college stuff for a while. So, I've finally found time to get back in it, starting with re-writing this fic. Let's get started!
Into Aperture
It was another average day at Shadow X's apartment (technically Sari's). The birds were singing, the bees were buzzing, and Gir and Space Core were shooting cats out of a cannon to see if they could fly. Meanwhile, Shadow himself was busy watching TV, keeping up-to-date with happenings in his part of the multiverse.
"Smurfs fighting Gargamel….Scooby and the gang thwarting another criminal….Eren beating the crap out of Titans….something about a pig, a goat, a banana, and a cricket…." Shadow sighed, clicking the TV off. "Well, it's official. There's nothing majorly disastrous going on in the multiverse, meaning I get the day-"
*beep beep*
-off."
Shadow groaned , pressing a button on his wrist communicator, bringing up a holo-screen. Onscreen were the Elders of the Cartoon Multiverse. "Alright guys, what is it?"
"Well, nothing to important." Said Bugs "It's not like you have a JOB to do or anything."
"When you said I could have the day off, I thought you meant that I could HAVE THE DAY OFF!"
"Well, we're sorry," said Mickey. "But this is a very serious situation, so it kind of overrules your day off." The small mouse clicked a few buttons offscreen, and a starmap (or universemap) popped up on Shadow's screen.
"We've detected a signal emitting from a universe in the video game multiverse. We want you check it out."
"Wait a minute…..video game multiverse?" Shadow scratched his head. "That's out of my jurisdiction. Shouldn't the Guardian of that multiverse be handling this?"
"He's off another mission right now."
"What could he possibly be doing right now?"
"Let's just say it involves an annoying blue fairy, and breaking lots of barrels."
"….I see." Shadow sighed, then reluctantly got up from the couch. "Alright, I'm on my way. Send me the coordinates.
At that moment, Sari walked in. She saw Shadow about to teleport, and quickly rushed over to him. "Oh hey, are you about to go another mission?"
Shadow turned to face her. "Oh, uh yeah. Don't worry, I'll be back soon.
"Actually, I was wondering…..can I come with you?"
Shadow froze. "Uh….are you sure? Cause we're going to an alternate universe….with who knows what….with things that might want to eat you….."
"Ah whatever. I'll kick the can of anyone who tries to mess with me! Come on Shadow, you know I can handle myself!" She gave him a sincere look.
Shadow thought for a minute. "…..Alright, you can come with. I just hope the Elders don't find out."
"WOO!" Sari did a little happy dance. "I'm gonna help protect the fabric of the universe-"
"Multiverse."
"-fabric of the multiverse from certain doom! Let's do this!"
