A Dream

A/N: I hope y'all like one-shots because here comes a whole wave of them before I post more of my Cloudy Games chapters. And sorry my one shots are so short. I write them on paper and don't bother editing or lengthening them. Anywho, enjoy this one!

I want to stay up late to read the new issue of Life Magazine, but I'm just so sleepy. Must. Stay. Awake….

XxX

I find myself in an odd state of floating. I look around to see a long line of gray clouds and rain falling from the sky. I know the rain is there, but I can't smell or feel it.

Now a harsh wind blows, which makes me stumble but not fall.

The dark clouds fade away and the rain quits falling. The sky turns gorgeous and vibrant colors. Then it begins to rain something I've never had before: cheeseburgers. Staring up at the rainbow-colored, glowing sky, I reach out my hand as a perfectly formed burger falls right onto the palm of my hand.

Taking a bite, I see all different foods raining from the sky along with a giant Jell-O mountain in the distance. This burger has the best flavor and texture of anything I've ever eaten.

Cheers and clapping come from all directions. The unseen audience chants my name and I smile. This feeling of happiness is probably the best I've ever felt.

Then the chanting stops abruptly. The sky fades to a really dark violet tone and thunder claps in my ear repeatedly. Another wind feels like a hurricane. I'm suddenly in the epicenter of a nuclear explosion. The sound and impact is painful on my body. The wind drops me and I hit the ground. Everything stops completely, all at once, instantly.

An angel chorus sings in harmony softly as a woman's figure appears. I can't see her details. Just a silhouette stands in front of the sun. She walks closer to me. I shiver as she gets closer. Right before her features come into view…

I sit up in bed. I yawn, trying to recover from my overnight mental trauma. My cheeks feel puffed up like I have just done exactly that. A cold feeling covers my lips, like I had just been kissed by a ghost. And that girl, I don't know any other girls besides my mom. Who was that? It takes me a minute but, even though it seemed real, it was all just a wild, crazy dream.
