Sight

Mako was sitting on the bench, watching Korra and Naga as they splashed each other with some water from the fountain.

A girl never quite caught his attention like Korra did.

He watched her as she laughed; tripping and rolling around with her treasured polar bear dog. He watched as her chocolate hair swayed in the gentle wind; how the sun reflected off of her radiant sapphire blue eyes.

Mako shook his head. He couldn't possibly be falling in love with this girl. She's the Avatar- she would never go for someone like him. He was a poor street boy who had no parents. His silent and brooding nature contradicted her bubbly and loud one. Their personalities also clashed, arguing every chance they get, even if it were over something small.

He stared once again. He saw that she was smiling, making him melt a little on the inside.

He thought about how their relationship was- just friends, bickering, a hug every so often, and some eye contact. Mako wondered if they could ever get along or agree on one thing.

Impossible. Korra always gets her way; her stubborn personality made it so. She was hard to keep up with and she barely changed her mind- these details made Mako irritated, but not for long.

His train of thought was cut off by Korra's face in his. "Come! You can't just be sitting on this bench on this beautiful day! Join me and Naga; we're having so much fun!" she exclaimed, squeezing out the rest of the water in her hair from earlier.

Mako couldn't help but stare at this sight- her slender hands going through her hair. Albeit, he simply grunted, rolled his eyes, and hid his reddening face behind the scarf he wore.

But all she needed to do was smile- he would crumble and give in.

She held out her hand. "Well, are you joining me or not?"

'Every time I look at her, I can't help but think of how much of an idiot I am for falling in love with her.' he thought, taking her hand and smiling.

The very sight of this girl made him question why no one hasn't fallen in love with her yet.

The very sight of this girl made him realize no other girl stood a chance against her.

The very sight of this girl made him realize... He was in love.
