The day with .

In classroom number one thirteen,

sat restless kids one through fourteen.

Waiting for there missing teacher,

so they could start their show-and-tell feature.

Suzy with her red-haired dolly,

Billy grabbing a pen from little Molly.

When the door opened they stood there blank.

How could they get a sub so rank?

With smelly feet and rotting gums,

stood a sight so mean.

It was the Grinch in fur so green.

It made them really really cry ,

until he poked them in the eye.

Then came time for show-and-tell,

when he melted their toys with his awful smell.

Then came time to eat a snack.

When the Grinch was done stealing their snacks,

they didn't want them back.

At the end of day full of bruises and tears,

ruffled up hair and overalls with sears,

little Molly came up to the Grinch and said,

"why is your heart so full of dread.

For everything so full of life,

you ruin it in one big strife.

Through out it all I got you something that might, just might make you smile."

The Grinch took it,unwrapped it and stared,

in his hands was a hand-made card that showed

she had cared.

Then he held it to his chest with no dismay,

and his heart grew three sizes that day.

Now whenever Mr. Grinch comes to school,

they make arts and crafts that are awesome and cool. The next day a sub came through the door, not Mr. Grinch but his sister Elanor! Oh, no the children cried out, this monster was a terrible stout, little figure with mean little eyes, mean as can be and to their surprise... looked not like the Grinch! No not at all! In fact she looked like a little crude ball. "Oh no, Molly said, "here we go again! But she worked her charm, no one to harm, and did so every time a Grinch came through the door. Yes she worked her charm 'till none were mean anymore!
