Chapter 1

"Cat? Cat?" I chase after her down the halls of Hollywood Arts. "Cat, wait up."

She looks at me for a second. "Hi Robbie? What is it?" She looks up at me innocently.

"Cat, I have to ask you something about a couple of days ago. With Sam?" I cock my head a little.

She gasps quietly, "Gotta go, Robbie. Byeee."

"Kitty Cat!" I try to grab her arm but she can run surprisingly fast. I debate going after her but I'll see her soon in Sikowitz. I just want to know why she got so jealous of me singing to Sam. I think it's because she really, really does have feelings for me but I'm the type of person that's got to be sure. She did say we were going to hang out just the two of us soon, but I'm just not completely sure.

We kissed a few times last year and I thought we were getting close, but I think she's still having trouble admitting her feelings for me. Maybe I can figure something out in Sikowitz.

I slump to class and hear Sikowitz talking about alphabetical improv. Maybe that's how I can lure Cat in. Now, normally, I don't like embarrassing her, but I need to know how she feels about me and not have her run away in the process.

"Robbie, nice of you to join us," Sikowitz bellows. "Are you ready for improv?" he draws out his sentence to show his excitement for teaching us.

I smile for a second and look towards Cat, "Yeah, actually, can I lead this one?"

Jade looks up in my direction, "Oh, yeah, that should go well. Who's actually leading here, Rex or his little sidekick?" she smirks and laughs at herself.

Beck looks towards her, "Now, sweetie," he mocks. "That attitude doesn't seem totally necessary here."

Jade glares at him and makes a noise we've all heard too many times, "Ohhh."

"Ohh," Tori mimics from across the room.

Jade starts staring at her. "Sinjin!" she yells and Sinjin responds by kicking Tori off of her chair. Poor Tori.

"Ouch, Sinjin!" Tori yelps.

Sikowitz laughs a slight bit. "Children, children, please." He sighs slowly as the room quiets down. "Anyway, yes, Robbie, you can lead the first group."

"Well, yipper doo," I cheer. "Okay, I want Toro here, Beck, Cat, and Andre."

Tori looks up at me, "Can we all stop calling me 'Toro' now?" she growls slightly.

I gulp but continue preparing for the scene. I place everybody in their particular spots. "Okay, any particular place or event we're doing?" I smile.

"Your funeral?" Jade suggests slyly. Everybody shoots her a look but she seems unfazed.

Sikowitz shakes his head for a second, "How about something romance related?" he winks at oohs but Cat just seems nervous. She raises her hand, "Can I go to the bathroom first?"

Sikowitz frowns, "No, my sweet, little, Cat, you may not. Okay, Robbie start, letter 'a.'"

"Astronauts are really cool, aren't they?" I start off, unsure of where I'm possibly going.

"Ugh," Jade rolls her eyes. "I'm going to take a wazz," she glares at Sikowitz.

Tori comes up next, "Better believe they are. I wish I could go up to space one down," she looks up hopeful.

"Cause they get to eat special food. Plus they're so cute…" Andre adds, trying to throw in the romance element.

"Oh my god," Jade shouts from the hallway. "How bad can you get?
"Dating an astronaut would be really cool," Beck throws in.

"Exactly," Cat throws in. "Dating an astronaut instead of a person who tries to ask you a million questions would be cool," she glances in my direction.

"What is going on with you children?" Sikowitz looks as confused as ever.

"Fine, I'm done with the questions. You don't have to worry, you can go off and date that spaceman now." I counter.

"Good gosh, I don't think she needs more spacey people in her life." Tori looks at me and nudges to Cat.

"Hey, why doesn't, ahem, Bobbin here," Andre pauses and tries to think of a better fake name for me, "Just ask his questions to Kitten."

"I know I would love that romance element," Beck says.

"Just end this already," Cat looks down at her shoes.

"Kitten, I can certainly do that," I cough awkwardly for a second and quickly say, "Just tell me why you got so jealous the other day?"

"Peanuts," Tori adds. "Oh, shucks," she looks to Sikowitz. "I'm out."

"Okay then, Tornado," Sikowitz sighs. "Andre, letter 'L.'"

"Mangos, I'm out." Andre runs out of the room into the hallway.

"Mangos, me too," Beck states.

"Good ghandi, what is wrong with all of you?" Sikowitz shakes his head.

Cat looks towards me, "Let's not do this here." I think the only reason to kept to her letter for so long is because Sikowitz started giving candy to winners.

I go up to her, "Miss, just tell me why you got so upset," I turn my head and grab her shoulders. "Is it because you might feel something for me?"

"Ooh a twist," Sikowitz leans forward.

"No, I mean," she shakes her head. "I don't know, Robbie," She escapes my grasp and runs out of the room.

"Okay, well I'm going to go get her now, be right back," I call out as I follow her out the door.

CAT'S POV

I can't believe that just happened, I say to myself. Is he trying to embarass me? Well, I think again, probably not, but still. I run straight into Jade. "Oof," I fall onto the ground with a thud.

Jade stands above me, "Look where you're going, Cat! What happened anyway?"

I get up and dust myself off, "We have to hide first."

"From who? Robbie? Did he do something?" Jade inquires.

I can feel tears streaming down my face and I hear Rex and Robbie talking in the background. I grab Jade's arm and pull her towards the janitor's closet.

"Cat!" She yells at me. "Tell me what's going on," she growls.

I relay the entire Robbie story to her. She looks at me when I'm done and just asks, "Well why would you get so jealous of lumpball singing to another girl?" she smirks.

I frown and whisper harshly, "Don't call him that. I like him, I just… I can't deal with these feelings. Jade, what do I do?" I yelp.

Jade stares at me for a second. "Be right back," she grins.

"Where are you going?" I beg.

"Shh, stay right here."

"You're not getting Robbie, right?" I ask.

"No, no, of course not. I would never do that," she smiles.

I can tell she's lying but I'm tired of running. I sit on the ground and just wait for my doom/

ROBBIE'S POV

"Cat? Where are you? I'm really sorry, but you weren't talking to me and we need to talk," I shout, even though I don't see anyone around.

Suddenly Jade runs up to me and crashes into me and knocks me onto the ground.

"Oh, Robbie," she feigns happiness. "Just the boy I was looking for." She looks down at me and smiles. She grabs my hand and I hesitate. "Don't be pathetic, Shapiro. Just take my hand and come with me to talk to Cat."

I slowly take her hand and she pulls me up. "You want to help me find Cat?" I ask nervously.

"Well, yeah. This game is a little annoying, so I'm finishing it. Go tell Cat how you feel about her. And," she grabs my shirt collar. "Don't hurt her."

She then drags me to the closet where Cat's hiding. "She's right in there?" I ask. "Are you sure I should go in? I don't think she wants to talk."

"Ugh," she moans. She grabs me and shoves me into the closet. "Talk to her," she hisses.

I look down and see Cat lying on the ground. I bend down and sit next to her. "Are you okay, Cat?" I ask, concerned.

"Oh, yeah. I was doing great." She sits up a little. "Robbie, I don't want to talk right now."

"Well, can I talk?" I ask her gently. She hesitates and I continue, "I won't ask you anything," I promise.

"Kay kay," Cat frowns.

"Cat, the reason I was asking so insistently earlier was because I like you." I pause for a second. "A lot, so I would like to know if you like me, too." She sits in silence and covers her face. "It's okay," I continue. "But the thing is I do like you a lot and I get that you might be nervous or whatever, but I love you so much, Caterina Valentine."

That makes her look up. "You love me, Robbie?"

I can feel the slightest hint of tears building up. "Yeah, of course, I do. You're the most amazing girl I've ever met. I think you're swell." I smile at her. "I love you so much, Kitty Cat."

She looks at me and then leaps onto me and wraps her arms around me. "Oh, Robbie, I love you, too. I'm just worried that something might happen between us and I might lose the best person in my life."

"I'm worried, too, Cat, but we would be so great together. I think we should at least try. We can't keep living in this middle, almost-dating area."

She leans against me for a second and thinks. "Okay, okay, maybe we should just be a couple," she concedes.

"Well, good," I add. "That's what I wanted."

"Well, good," she repeats.

"Well, then maybe we should seal it with a kiss or something, shouldn't we?" I ask.

"I suppose we should, Robbie," she huffs.

I don't move for a second. My body seems absolutely paralyzed. My dream girl loves me and admitted it like I always knew she could. And we're going to be a couple now and go out on dates and kiss and really be in love. Wow.

"Robbie," she huffs again and grabs my shirt and pulls me towards her. I feel her sweet lips onto mine and close my eyes. I lean into the sweet kiss. This was so much better than the last time I kissed her at Cow Wow, like that's even possible. I run my fingers through her hair and she wraps her arms around my neck.

She looks up at me and breaks our lips for a second. "Robbie, I love you so much. Promise me we'll always be okay, because I could never lose you. You belong in my life."

I tap her on the nose. "Don't worry, Caterina. I will be here always and forever." I press my lips into hers again and we fall onto the ground wrapped around each other.

Suddenly the door opens and there's Jade, Beck, Andre, and Tori. Jade looks down at us, "So here we can research the mating habits of two high school weirdos," she winks at us and Beck slaps her arm.

Awesome. "Um, hey, guys." I stand up, a little wobbly from the kiss. "So, Cat and I are dating now." I smile and grab her arm and help her up.

"Yup," she beams. "Robbie and I are really, really dating." She runs forward and wraps her arms around Jade and whispers something.

Jade shakes her off and says, "Of course, you guys were taking your sweet time with this thing."

Tori looks to me, "Wow, that's fantastic." She comes forward and gives me a little hug.

Andre and Beck both pat my shoulders and say they're proud of me.

"Okay, everybody shoo now." I somehow push them all out of the room and I look towards Cat. "So, I suppose we should go on a real date now, shouldn't we?" I smile.

"I think we shall, soon," she smiles back and hugs me tight.
