The cold hearted devil. One of the two Sons of Sparda sat in his study. Whispering to himself. He looked outside to see his backyard. A small yard that suited his needs perfectly. He turned back and rested his head in his palms. He opened the drawer of his desk and saw the .45 ACP that his wife left there in case either of them needed it immediately. He always hated guns, but if it made her happy, he would at least tolerate them in his household. He picked up the gun and slid the clip out of it. He saw the large caliber hollow tips that it was loaded with. He slid the clip back into place.

He put the gun on his desk. Eyeing it. He held his hands together. This was it. He was going to do it. He had never spoke about how he felt. Nor his intention to do what he was intending. Not to his wife, his brother, no one. He closed his eyes, rolling his head. He picked the gun up and felt the cold metal make contact with his skin. He shivered slightly and held the weapon tighter. He put the gun to the side of his head. In a second, it would all be over. The pain and suffering he had been through and put other people through would be all over.

He turned around, wanting to see the sun one last time. At least he could physically see the sun. His inner world was shrouded by darkness. He looked down at his backyard. A beautiful young woman with heterochromia eyes was playing with a small white haired quarter-demon child. He threw the gun to the ground. It did not go off, for which he was grateful. He stood up looking outside. He kept his eyes on his wife and child. A realization hit him like a ton of bricks. He could not see the sun in his mind because they were his sun. His light, the reason he got up every morning, the only two people he truly loved. He turned away, picking the gun up from the floor, putting it back in his desk.

He exited his home heading to where his wife and son were playing.

"Daddy," The child said before running to his father, nearly knocking him over when Vergil kneeled down to pick him up. Lady walked to her husbands side.

"Hello sunshine," Vergil said lovingly, wrapping his arms around his wife pulling her into a deep kiss, while his child make gagging sounds pointing at his open mouth. Vergil put him down and ruffled his hair. The young demon child ran back to the sandbox that Vergil and his brother, Dante hand build. Lady grabbed her husbands hand and bought him to a bench. She nussled next to her lover, watching their child play. They smiled as the sun went down.
