Percy

Percy held Annabeth's hand tightly, as they were falling, never wanting to let go "I love you, wise girl" he said through tears. Annabeth's grey eyes glistened with tears " I love you too, seaweed brain," she replied laughing whilst crying. Percy took a deep breath as he thought how are we going to get out, I'm no Leo, but if we have to close it from both sides that means that we'll be locked from outside and in. "It'll be okay, Percy," Annabeth said as if she knew what he was thinking.

"How do you do that?"Percy asked

"What?" she replied

"Know what I'm thinking" he said

"Well, I know you and we spend so much time together that I've sort of developed a sixth sense and know what you are think-" her sentence was caught short when they reached their destination- Tartarus. Percy saw such evil things, Annabeth started to cry "It's okay, I'm here, I'll protect you," he said. Percy wrapped his arms around Annabeth covering her eyes so she couldn't see anything, he wished that someone could protect him how he was protecting Annabeth but he had to be strong for her.

Annabeth

Annabeth felt like a little child. Percy was holding her, his salty ocean smell comforted her, even though she felt safe she kept on thinking I can look after myself, I need nobody but something always replied look where that got you. You followed the mark of Athena all by yourself and you ended up falling into Tartarus with Percy. Annabeth scolded muttering "stop it,"

"What?!" Percy asked, he must have taken it the wrong way.

"What, uhm nothing, sorry Percy," she said "Percy?"

"Yep!" he said with enthusiam

"Uhmmmmm...I was just wondering ummm,"

"Go on," prompted Percy

Annabeth took a deep breath "we need to start looking for the Doors of Death," Percy's sarcastic and trouble-maker smile broke, he looked away. He released his arms from Annabeth "let's start now, but no seperating I'm not going to loose you again, okay," Percy said, he turned to face her his sea green eyes fixed on hers. Annabeth had never seen percy look so serious and stern he always had this sweet stupid expression. "okay, let's go!" she said running, she completely forgot about her bad ankle so she fell, Percy picked her up and carried her "I think we have to postpone looking for the doors for a bit," he smirked. This would be so romantic if we weren't in Tartarus she thought. percy leaned in and kissed her.
