When you have lived all your life under the earth and have spend your life all your life with the same people , how do you behave towards people you don't know yet? You were born to be leader of your people. You are leader of people who hide under the suface for their whole Life. You taught them to hide. You live because you hide, it's what keeps you safe. But one day you are expected not to hide any longer. You are expected to stand up for yourself, to show yourself and your partner with pride.
But what if you don't know how to do that? How could you, noone ever showed you how to do that! But there is this one person. A person you trust and care for. A person you would die for. She's your friend, your confidant and your lover. And you want to show her just how much she means to you, but you can't.
You can't let yourself get to the surface. You keep hiding, even if it hurts her and even if it hurts you, you can't change it. Even if you wanted to.
Even if you already managed to get your people to the surface. You defeated an evil president and are president now. You are leader of a new country and you have Everything under control except yourself.
You manage to lead a country but you don't manage to admit you're in love. It's unbelievable and hurtful, but you don't know how to change it.
Katniss-
You have survived. You live and they don't. Prim is dead, Rue is dead, Cinna ja dead but you aren't. You have survived the Hunger Games, twice! You have survived a war. You don't know why but you are still here.
After Prim's death you thought you'd die. First it was endless Pain and after that nothing. You felt numb for so long, nothing seemed to make sense, not even killing snow could give you satisfaction.
But then there was her. She was there when noone else was. She stayed even though you begged her to leave. You screamed and insulted her, you pushed her away nur she stayed. You don't know why she stayed but she did. And it helped. You felt sad and angry, but you felt something.
Everytime she stayed and didn't leave you alone you wanted to slap her, to throw her out of your room. But instead of slapping her you kissed her. All je your Confusion and frustration put in that kiss. It was an angry and furious kiss and you caught her off guard. First she looked you in the eye. Shocked. But after a moment of silence she fiercly threw herself at you and kissed you hard.
You couldn't believe it President Coin, who always seemed so cold and distant was kissing you. And when you looked her in the eye you saw hurt and regret, and her eyes mirrowed your emotions. So you closed your eyes and let her undress you. You wanted to Feel something again and if this was the only way it was possible you were happy to go with it.
