Once upon a time, there is one world, which we called Pokémon World because of these strange creatures that inhabited this world. Nobody knew how many Pokémon in this world. This world has four regions which they were called Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh.
There is one person that is very famous and powerful champion of every region. Her name was Melissa. She only has one disability, which she is deaf. For years, her family struggled to overcome her disability, but it sadly torn them apart by her father and older brother left them when she was seven/eight years old. Now Melissa is living with her mother in the town which it is called Pallet Town in Kanto. When she was younger, her dream is to become famous and powerful champion in every region with her original dragon team, but it was shattered when her family was discovered that she was deaf from deadly illness. Her family was arguing about Melissa by sent her to boarding school or stay at home. Her father, Aaron, and her brother, John, want her to stay home to learn about house-cleaning, but her mother, Diana, wants her to go to boarding school to learn how to read the lips and talking, and sign language.
Diana and Aaron decided to spilt up when Melissa was eight years old. Diana got the single custody of Melissa and Aaron got the single custody of John. Now Melissa was very determined to get and training her Dragon team when she was growing up.
Melissa POV
I woke up really early and looked at the clock which it reads 8:00. I don't want to wake my mother. That would be disaster for me because my mother thinks it is stupid for children go out alone in that age. I can't give my dream up, beside, I already learned about reading the lips and talking when I was at the boarding school. I got up slowly and dressed quickly and walked softly across my room to get my brown book bag which it was full of camping supplies, clothes, one potion, and 5 poke balls. Now I just need my first Pokémon and then I will send myself off to my journey of Kanto. I tipped toed out of my room and passed my mother's room and walked downstairs and went to kitchen to write the note for my mom, saying that,
"Mom, don't worry about me; I will be okay with my Pokémon. I will be powerful dragon trainer; this is my dream since I was little girl before this disability destroy my small family. This will be goodbye."
Then I put it on the freezer for my mother so she could read it when she woke up. Then I walked out of my mother's life and into my treacherous and full of advantage Pokémon journey.
