iWant to Crush the Competition Chapter 1

Carly sat on the computer checking that weeks comments about iCarly. She was expecting Freddie and Sam to show up any minute. She scrolled through the many new comments when she came across one that stood out above the rest. When she began to read it, she heard Freddie and Sam's voices echoing through the door. Carly rolled her eyes, when she realized they were fighting once again. She got down from the chair, walked over, and opened the door. They appeared to not notice her, as they continued yelling. At this point Carly couldn't tell what either of them were saying.

"HEY!" she yelled loud enough to drown out their shouting. They both stopped and looked at her. "We may have a problem."

"What kind of problem?" Freddie asked.

"Come here," she said, leading the two of them to the computer.

"What is it, Carly?" Sam asked, confused.

"Listen to this comment," said Carly, beginning to read it out loud.

I have to admit, iCarly is a great web show, but it's not the best. You are obviously too caught up in your own web show to realize there is another that has what it takes to kick iCarly off the map. You could just give up now and save yourself from disappointment. Or you could try to fight against them. Either way you lose. Why don't you check out the best web show on the Internet at .

"Who sent that?" Freddie asked.

"Some girl named Melonie Blitz," Carly replied. "I'm guessing she is the one who hosts the web show."

"Go to the website," said Sam. "I want to see what we are competing with."

Carly typed in the girls website and waiting while the page loaded. It seemed to have a similar set up as and it had a video of their most recent web cast. Carly played the video and noticed right away that they seemed to use some of the same ideas as iCarly.

"Is it just me, or did this girl steal some of our ideas?" Sam asked.

"It doesn't matter," said Carly. "I don't think she can pull it off the same way we do."

"Maybe not, but we still need to watch them," said Freddie.

"Hold on," said Carly, looking around the site. "Listen to this; This week viewers get to send in their best video making fun of iCarly. The best video will be featured on Blitzweb next week and will win a gift certificate to Groovy Smoothie."

"They can't do that," said Sam.

"Apparently they can," Freddie replied.

"I say we head down there and crash their next web cast," said Sam.

"We are not going to stoop to their level," said Carly. "They can do what they want. We will just do what we always do. Melonie Blitz won't be able to buy her viewers forever. Besides, we still have the number one rated web show online."

"True," Sam agreed. "It's not going to be that easy to knock us from number one."

"That name seems familiar though," said Freddie suddenly.

"Really?" Carly asked. "From what?"

"Let's search her name," he suggested.

"Okay," said Carly, typing the name. A long list of websites appeared. "Lets try the first one."

"Melonie Blitz is daughter of all star baseball player, Mark Blitz," Freddie read. "She is well known for her knowledge of computers and has told fellow reporters that her next project is hosting her own web show, which is sure to be a hit."

"That is not reassuring," said Sam.

"This could be bad," said Carly. "If she is the daughter of a famous baseball player, that means she has a lot of money."

"That means it will not be that hard to buy an audience," Freddie added.

"Still there is no way she could come up with the stuff that we do," said Sam.

"We are going to have to work a lot harder if we want iCarly to stay number one," said Carly.
