-1George Weasley started at the fire with unseeing eyes. Here it was, his second night alone. Second night alone in 19 years. Without Fred.

He was in too much shock, too much denial. Whenever she felt like walking over and hugging him, just sitting with him, she didn't. one look in those dark, hurt eyes would turn anyone away.

She felt tears well up in her eyes. Mum was so worried about him, everyone was. But she knew in her heart it was her who was hurt the most.

She was the only other person the twins could open up to besides each other. They would always let her join in on their conversations, always let her help with their pranks.

She was always safe and happy when they were around. They could always make her laugh, come up with a revenge prank, make her feel better.

But that wasn't all.

They also protected her. They defended her, they were her favorite brothers. But she kept that a secret to herself. Cuz if they knew that, they'd never let her live it down.

But now Fred was gone, and she was losing George too. Painfully quickly. And if she didn't stop it from happening, he'd soon be gone too.

Why wouldn't he talk to her??? She was his little SISTER for God's sake! Would it hurt him to have said something, anything, at all, to at least let her know that he was going to be okay? Going to make it?

SHE WOULD NOT GIVE HIM UP!!!

And she was sobbing, never wracking gasps that shook her whole body. She ran over to George and threw her arms around him, not caring how stupid she probably looked or felt.

"Please George, don't let me lose you too!" she moaned. More whined like a little girl, but who cared.

He hugged her back.

"I promise Ginny. You'll never lose me."

From that moment on, George got better. They both did. That's why you'll still find George sneaking a Wizzbang into Percy's cereal, as Ginny distracts him, trying not to giggle.
