AN: Okay. You can pinch yourself. You're not imagining things. I have come out of retirement to post for this episode, because simply, it shocked me. Not that others haven't in the past seasons, but it shocked me enough to put some tags down. I cant promise the series will continue, as life has gotten so much busier. But when the mood strikes me, I will write! I hope all of my readers find this reading well, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and reviews. Take care and Enjoy. – TLH

Vance: "My wife's dead Gibbs."

It wasn't long after he uttered those words that he took a step forward and inched towards the ground. Gibbs reached out an arm to ease him to his knees and knelt beside him. He knew better than most that words right now were futile.

So he did what he did best, remained a silent strong presence as he listened to Vance's cries. It wasn't until he all out screamed in grief that Gibbs forced Leon to look at him.

"It will be alright," he lied.

Leon took in a breath and clenched his teeth in agony. He didn't respond with words but stood up and managed to ravage whatever items were in the hallway.

Gibbs only looked on, his own tears welling in his eyes with the familiarity.

Hope is lost in a time like this.

Nothing matters but the pain.

Except maybe… revenge.

"I have…I have to kill them…I have to…" he managed between breaths and placed his hands on his knees. "I have to…"

"You have to be with your family…"

Vance took in a long deep breath. "Their mom…"

Gibbs took a step towards him. "I will handle this. I promise you that Leon."

It was then Gibbs' cell phone rang and he began the first steps of fulfilling that promise.
