As if you didn't Care
As if I wasn't always thinking of you and wondering how you felt about me. As if you hadn't known my love went beyond admiration for a master of his skill. You ignored, me called me names I wish to forget. You over looked me when my potions were perfect and said I had memorized every line of my textbook. Then you went too far, pushed too many buttons and I stopped. I saw in your eyes the guilt you felt even though I was a Gryffindor. I let you feel every ounce of pain you had caused me in that moment. You let me be, but you were at a lose when I stopped being perfect, you felt you had lost something and you had. My love has run cold for you and you felt something for the first time since she had died. Slowly as the years flew by your memory faded away until I came back. I had a daughter to send off. You asked her name and I refused to say. You asked about the father, even though you knew from the flaming red hair. She left for the train and you left for Hogwarts. I waited until my husband fell asleep and wrote my heart to you, though I never sent it. Now I am old and you are too, but my love is still here. I regret not listening to you everytime I brought my daughter to the platform, but that can not be changed. I wish you well my secret love, only known to you and I.
An Old Love,
Hermione
