With a flash of bright light and a streak of fire in the night sky, a small
Irken ship crashed in a vacant field. A battered, hungry, and tired Irken
stepped out followed by a SIR unit. It was Tak. Again. Tak gazed out into
the city, which she had a good view of from where she was standing. She
sighed and sat down, wondering what to do. From her studies of the human
race, she knew that it was late here on Earth. She also knew that humans
did not like to be disturbed, especially by aliens, late at night. Suddenly
a thought danced into her mind for a split second.
Dib.
Tak could remember Dib, it had not been that long ago that she had
been friends with Dib, here on Earth. He could help. Maybe. But how? He
hated Irkens. Dib knew she was an Irken, and now, after all that had
happened, and Dib knowing that she was an Irken? There was no possible way
that he could, even would, help her. She hated Dib, but, for some reason,
she wanted to go to Dib for help. She wouldn't admit why, but she made up
her mind that she was going for help, to Dib. She put on her disquize and
made her way to Dib's house.
She knocked on the door. Dib answered. "Hello- Tak.?!
