A/N: My birthday story for Anna-Marie-and-The-Purple-Rose. (Part one of the three things you're getting BTW!!!)

Messages in King and Queen of Hearts
Rogue looked down at the card in her hand. The queen of hearts. His lucky lady. She couldn't believe Kitty talked her into this, to giving him his card, along with one of her own. Messages in cards, Kitty had told her. So why was she so nervous to see him again? Was it the fact that she left him, saying that she didn't care what he did? Was it because she knew that she did care what he was doing? Because she did. More than anything, she cared if he was sleeping with random girls. Or if he was turning his life around, getting on the right path, staying with one girl.
She looked at the door, wondering if he was going to stand her up. It was something that was very Remy LeBeau like. Building up a girls hopes, flashing a sexy smirk at them, or purring down the phone. Then he'd rip it all out from under them. It could be either by loving and leaving or just not showing up.

"You came, chere, you came!" Remy LeBeau smiled down at her.
"I should be the one saying that, LeBeau! You have a reputation of standing girls like me up!" Rogue shot back at him.
"Girls LIKE you, chere! Not you though. Never you. Those girls were like you. I stood them up when I realized they could never be YOU! You're one of a kind, chere!" He argued.
"Yeah, I'm the only one that you can't touch."
"Turn the card over, cher,"
Rogue done as asked, calmly and quickly. She gasped as she saw 'je t'ami ma chere Rogue.'
"When...?" She asked confused. She turned the card over and examined it each day.
"When you were putting your make-up on."
Rogue turned and scribbled something on a card before she handed Remy the King of Hearts. He smiled up at her.

Messages, even the strangest types, written on the strangest things, bring people together. Life is filled with little messages. When to stop, when to start. Messages make life worth living.

Hope you like it!!!! :) :)

Love,

Orla
