Heyo! This Unfortunately is going to be the last One-shot or fanfiction I'm writing until Mid-September because me and my family are going camping for the summer :( But! Before you go all mopey, While I'm away, I'm going to be working on a fanfiction about a boarding school, Modern AU just in time for back to school (not for me, I'm home educated :P)! Astrid was looking for Hiccup because he was going for a trip for a week with his father and wanted to say goodbye. She guessed that he would be somewhere working on the map. She couldn't help but feel a bit sad that when she found him, there was a bag next to him waiting to go. ''Hey.'' She said, sitting down next to him.
''Hey.'' He said back awkwardly.
''So.. you going soon?''
''Umm yeah...'' He said. Astrid nodded in response.
''I'm going to miss you.'' She confessed. He smiled slightly.
''I'll miss you too.''
''You're not just saying that are you?'' She said, looking at him seriously.
''Of course not. I'll really miss you. You're special to me.'' He said holding her hand.
''You're special to me too.''
''Now you're not just saying that?'' He said jokingly. She laughed.
''Of course not,'' She said, grabbing hold of a bit of his hair.''Just don't forget me that's all.'' She twisted the bit of hair into a tiny braid and tucked it behind his ear. He looked at it, raising his eyebrow. ''So now you're braiding my hair are you? I couldn't forget you now, you've made your mark.''
''Yes and you can't unmark it. It's officially permanent.'' She said grinning. He grinned back and pulled her into a tight hug. She hugged him back smiling.
Later, when Hiccup and Stoick were about to leave, Stoick noticed the tiny braid behind his ear and asked, ''Who did that?''
''Who did what?'' Hiccup said stupidly.
''That.'' Stoick said, pointing to the braid.
''Oh that. That's just a mark.''
''But who made that 'mark'?''
''Just someone special...'' Hiccup said vaguely. Stoick thought about for a second then realized it must have been Astrid and shrugged it off.
''Come on we have to go.''
