Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Wing, much less the story line and all. I love it though. That's no ground for a lawsuit, is it?

A/N: "Sublime" in here means "inspiring." I know it's weird, but I was running out of words.

The Princess and the Perfect Soldier

Once upon a time there was a princess who didn't know she was

She was spoiled; every girl envies her for whatever she has

However, she longed for something more intriguing and exciting

An adventure she thinks her life is worth living

A stranger, a boy, came and caught her pretty eye

Her attraction to him was something she can't deny

He was mysterious, and she soon became interested in him

He was something she can't get, unlike her every whim

He vowed to destroy her because of what he thinks she knows

And now she's scared and intrigued even more because of the threat he posed

There was a war, and it was enough if she dies, if be, of bombs or bullets

But it wasn't meant to be, because of the coming events

Then came the day of that war, her dear father died

And that same day, she was confessed to that she to has been lied

She was princess of a torn kingdom, now she knows

And told to take heed of those under shadows, her worst foes

A twist of events led her to the boy's teacher

She learned that he was a mere boy, but a perfect soldier

Emotionless and focused on what he has been told to do

Killing everyone on his way so he can pass through

She came back to see him with answers and ready to die

But now he can't do what he vowed, turning it into a lie

He does not understand, asking why things are so

For his feelings right now are things he does not know

Deep emotions surged through him, the ones he learned to forget

And unconsciously they started coming back when this princess he met

He left promising to destroy her another time

Even if he knows when he comes back, her face will be sublime

They got separated, the princess and the perfect soldier

Through all those times, the other they always remembered

A time came when the soldier was going to pass away

But only the princess' face he could see, and her name could say

He lived, and with the help of a friend, he went to her kingdom

Which she now ruled, and a fair one, said some

She was greatly changed, now a strong, fair, pacifist ruler

But the girl he once knew he could still remember

Words were avoided between these two star-crossed souls

But they both knew the other filled their own soul's empty holes

And so he left again for war, much to his heart's unwillingness

For it wasn't so often, like being near her, that he feels blessed

The current war ended, and a bigger one started

They were on opposing sides, but they felt no hatred

Could this be, that their emotions were stronger than ever?

Is this that feeling for someone that lasts forever?

The war almost took their lives away, but that wouldn't make any difference

At least on the other side they will always feel the other's sweet presence

But it wasn't to be, and the princess was held prisoner

But the soldier was there to save her, to keep her for—maybe?—forever

The war ended, and the poor souls of those who fought disappeared

Her perfect soldier's death might also come, the princess feared

She prayed and wished to anyone who would listen

To let his life be renewed, if gone, and be cleansed and properly christened

She left in despair, and to her kingdom she started to go

What to do with half a heart, she doesn't know

And she found a token of unspoken feelings from an unexpected someone

From the perfect soldier to his princess, saying his feelings will never be gone…
