Revenge
Every time I close my brown eyes, I can still see my terrified family cowering in the corner of my house. I can still see my brother, bleeding, and in a crumpled heap. My family was dead. Renee, Phil, Charlie, Thomas, and Cindy….. Gone.
I am strong now. I swore to them I would find the killer. He was going to feel pain far worse than he had ever experienced. He was going to pay for leaving me alone. I will get my revenge.
I, Bella Sawn, will get my revenge, even if I die trying. I have his face burned into my memory. His fiery red eyes, pale skin, and bronze hair. I will never forget anything about this terrible man.
I'm moving to Forks, Washington to live with my aunt Lissa. I knew this was going to be hard for both of us. Lissa loved Renee, as did I. I wont let her see me cry one tear. I am strong.
"Oh Bella, honey! Look at you! You've grown so much! You look so much like….. like…… like Renee. Let me help you with your bags!" Lissa said smiling sadly. I thought I saw her crying, but that could just be the rain. She grabbed my bags, and I followed her inside.
"Your house hasn't changed much." I said looking at the green walls, accompanied by paintings.
"Come see your room!" She said, sounding like Renee. I climbed the stairs, and walked into a lavender room. A purple bed was in the right corner, a huge book case filled with books was in the opposite corner.
"Thank you" I said, smiled, and set my laptop of a desk. I noticed the walls had small roses painted on to them.
"I'll let you get unpacked. What would you like for dinner?" She asked, standing in the doorway.
"Whatever. You make what you like" I said.
"Okay. I'll call you when it's ready. Hurry and get unpacked. I'll show you some additions to the house." Lissa said and left.
I sighed, and plopped down on my bed. I didn't like being here! I'd rather be out hunting the basterd that killed my family. I chocked back a sob. Be strong, I reminded myself. I looked around my room again. Looks like I'm going to be here a while. I jumped off my bed, and slowly unpacked.
Tomorrow I'm starting school. Forks High didn't have very many students. I found that out after reading the school's website. It didn't even have a Drama club! I angrily threw a shoe in my closet. All of this wouldn't have happened if I still had a family!
I gave up on unpacking and walked downstairs. Immediately my nose hit a wonderful scent. It smelt like tomato sauce. Silently I walked into the kitchen.
"It smells nice" I said, causing my aunt to jump.
"Bella! Oh! Honey, you scared me!" She said laughing weakly. I smiled apologetically, and started setting the table.
"Are you excited!? You're starting school tomorrow! Oh, you've grown so much, and you're so beautiful!" Lissa gushed. I shrugged and sat down on a mahogany chair.
Dinner was silent. After Lissa finished, I piled the dishes in the sink, and started running the water. I scrubbed a plate.
"Bella? What are you doing? No, no! You go get some rest! You've got school tomorrow!" Lissa said sternly.
"But-" I stared to protest but she cut me off. I sulked upstairs. I did not want to sleep. Every time I closed my eyes I had terrible nightmares. I often woke up crying or screaming. I sat on my bed and stared at the white carpet. "Bella? Turn off that light and get some sleep! You've got a big day tomorrow!" Lissa ordered from downstairs. I quietly groaned. I turned out my light.
My room was engulfed in darkness. The full moon caused eerie shadows to be displayed on my floor. I silently whimpered. I hate him, I hate myself, I hate everybody. I'm lying to myself. I am not strong.
Goodnight, my long gone family. I haven't forgotten you.
