The Doctor and Amy and Rory Pond stepped out of the TARDIS in an unfamiliar place. Well, unfamiliar to the Ponds. The Doctor had been there before—not many times, but enough to recognise the place. "Right, yes, assembled Ponds! This is North Carolina, the year 2012... and I have no clue why we're here. Let's explore."

So they did, even though Amy was a bit cross at missing out on Paris. They walked along the small, cozy downtown, listening to the locals chatter, some in faint twanging accents and some in more slang-based urban accents. As in every town, there was a group of loud people who were running along, laughing wildly.

"My boys!" the small girl exclaimed, bouncing up and down, having to stand on tip-toe to rest her elbows on two of the boys' shoulders.

"Caiti, my love," one of the girls faux-whined in a pretty well-done English accent. "I'm never speaking to you again!"

"Careful there, love," the other girl—Caiti—replied with a smirk.

The tallest boy laughed, "Oh, look at Aedan, all jealous."

"Shut up, Faillip!"

That made the whole group laugh, which was made worse when the second girl managed to choke out, "Why did we ever date, Phillip?"

The burly blond boy piped up, "Hey Kayleigh, how long did you even date for?"

Kayleigh shrugged. "Like two months I guess. Why'd you ask? Thinking of asking me on a date?"

"Uhm... uhm..." he stuttered. "MEH!"

Caiti snorted (an actual snort). "One day you're gonna be a herp-a-derp-a-tologist and married to Kayleigh, Kameron."

"I am not moving to Florida!" Kayleigh sniffed. "And what about you and Aedan, Caiti? When are you two gonna kiss already?"

"KAY!" the two teens cried, faces flushing red.

"Unless you have already..." the other girl trailed off, wiggling her eyebrows.

Caiti narrowed her eyes and tackled the other girl, and they both collapsed to the sidewalk, giggling. Kayleigh groaned. "How heavy are you? 120?"

"117, thank you very much!" Caiti growled playfully. "Come on, time to get back to my place and start daring each other to do stupid shit."

The entire group linked arms and began running, cackling wildly.

Amy, Rory, and the Doctor stared at each other for a moment, until Amy quietly asked, "Rethinking having kids yet, Rory?"

"Just a bit, yeah."

Author's Note: I enjoy playing around with Doctor Who and throwing my own world into the fray. This would be a normal outing with me (Caiti) and some of my best friends. We get louder and crazier as time progresses. This is actually CALM for us.
