His hand held tightly on the black notebook as he made his way into the hallway. It was quiet, the way he liked it. His black clothes made him look different from the people around him who were wearing white. Ignoring the people, he focused on the door and reached for it. The oldest memory that he remembered how he discovered the cause of all this happened when Mai returned home.
The dim lights made the brunette cautious of her surroundings. Her body slightly twisted as she felt the edge of the coffee table on her knee. She slightly moved a little further making sure not to wake up the sleeping beast. Arms reaching the covers, she slid her body in it and laid down next to the beast. With relief, she closed her eyes and silently sighed.
"Where did you go?" His icy voice made her eyes open and her body flinch.
"I just had a little chat with Ayako. That's all, Naru." Her body turned towards the blank faced narcissist.
"In 2 am in the morning? Good thing your heavy feet didn't wake Jin up." He raised his eyebrow as he watched her hide under the covers. A unique sensation was the next thing he felt. "One is already enough…" He paused as he looked up at the ceiling with a hint of blush on his face. "… for now."
"Oh, Dr. Davis. You're here." George placed the food tray down and stared at the 38-year-old man as he entered the room. "I brought her favorites." He looked at the food before carrying the medicine tray and transferring it near the lamp.
Oliver Davis took a sigh before looking at the man in all white. "Has she been doing well after the priest's visit?" He remembered asking John a favor.
"They talked. But only for a while." George paused and remembered another visitor. "The shrine maiden and monk visited yesterday after you left, doctor."
"Did they help?" Oliver stepped forward and sat down on the sofa. "I'm sorry to say but they only talked for a while as well." George poured tea in the small cup.
"Are you here to read for her again?" George noticed the familiar black notebook.
"Yes, if she's willing to listen." Naru sipped from the tea cup after George handed it to him.
"She'll be back after her afternoon walk." George smiled and walked outside.
His back leaned on the seat as he opened the black notebook once again. Silently reading the content of the notebook, he started to feel worried again. Every day since that possession was a difficult day for Oliver Davis. Amnesia was another thing, but his wife having early onset Alzheimer's is the most difficult thing to face.
Good Day! Finally started to post this story. I will be uploading updates for my other fanfictions as well. So this story starts with a short prologue.
