Author Note: I hope to have this done before the fireworks but it didn't work out that way. I hope that you like this storyline.
Steve's POV
I am sitting at my desk while Mia is getting things ready for the fourth of July. We invited everyone that we knew to our house where we had a big announcement for them.I watched her walked into my office and sit down.
"I don't want to tell them until later on" she revealed to me as I get up and sit next to her. I give her a kiss and she knows that it's okay with me if we do that. We sat together for a few more minutes and then the doorbell starts to ring and I go and get it. Of course, our first guest is Danny. He always have bad timing and today proved it even more.
"Hey you ready to start the celebration." I asked my friend as we walked to the backyard as the rest of the group shows up. Fireworks start and I have my arms around my wife as we watched the show started.
Mia's POV
Steve is just sitting behind me when the fireworks starts. I wish that we are alone so we could celebrate our surprise but we aren't. I feel as he is wrapping his arms around me making feel safe. I feel as he kisses me on the forehead. We stay up until midnight watching them go off and then we head to bed.
"Have I told you thank you for protecting us and our freedom?" I asked as we climb into bed. He nods yes and we make love. Since we know that tomorrow marks another day at work.
