I Am From Poem Rough Draft
I'm from family.
From sacrifice to ensure survival,
From the family gatherings:
4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
I'm from traditions of the family grace.
I'm from football
From the blood sweat and tears of the line.
From the glory of a win
To the pain of a loss.
I'm from the United States
From the freedom
That so many wars have been held over
And I'm from the millions
Of soldiers that died to protect
The freedom that we know and love.
Most of all I'm from experience
From betrayal, loyalty, love
From pain, anger, and sadness.
All of these things make me, me
Without them I wouldn't be
The person that you know now.
All of these things are what I'm from
I don't care what you think
How dumb you think it is
But I can't change the things I'm from.
