Kenichi and Miu exited the dojo, joined as husband and wife, the latter wearing the dress she'd dreamed of since she was a child.

"I'm going to miss grabbing her boobs," said Kensei.

"They were never yours to grab," said Shigure. "Apachai, the rice is for throwing, not eating!"

"Isn't that bad for birds?" said Apachai.

"That's just a myth," said Akisame.

"What's with the fancy ride?" said Sakaki. "Why can't they stay here?"

"They deserve some privacy," said the Elder. "Besides, this is no place to consummate a marriage." He let out a loud laugh.

They watched as Kenich helped Miu into the car and then got in on the other side. The couple then left for whereever they'd agreed to go.

"Show's over, I guess," said Akisame.

The masters all went back to their usual routines.

As evening gave way to night, Akisame and the Elder had a discussion.

"So, how's the new addition to your family?" said Akisame.

"Don't be ridiculous," said the Elder. "If I thought poorly of him, none of that would've happened."

"Even if that meant breaking Miu's heart?"

"And just how is that your business?"

"You're right. I apologize for that remark."

"No, actually it's fine. In a way, I suppose we're all her family now."

Just then, a terrible feeling came over them.

"Something's happened to those two," said Akisame. "I can feel it."

"We were fools not to keep an eye on them!" said the Elder.

Not moments later, the other masters gathered before them.

"We'd better go check this out," said Shigure.

"Apachai will stay here and watch the dojo," said the Muay Thai fighter.

"You do that," said the Elder, as he left with the other masters.

Kenichi woke up in a bed back at the dojo.

"Can I get the license number of the truck that hit me?" he said.

"Count yourself lucky," said Akisame. "You were beaten half to death. Maybe even two-thirds to death. You've been unconscious for over a week. Do you remember what happened?"

"Not really. All I remember was some really tough guys stopping the car - they totalled it, didn't they? - and that's about it."

"Figures. Your head was hit pretty hard. More than once, I might add."

Kenichi looked around. "What about Miu? Is she alright?"

A sickening silence filled the room.

"We won't know that," said the Elder, "until we find her."

Kenichi sat up suddenly. "You mean -?"

The Elder nodded sadly.

Kenichi couldn't decided who he was agrier with, those men who attacked him and Miu, or himself for failing to protect her.

[A/N: Yeah, I know Miu would wipe the floor with most would-be kidnappers. Shut up.]
