This is a prompt I wrote about Megaman Powered Up, which is about the most adorable Megaman game I've ever played. The prompt was "Optimism", which should probably be obvious by the title of the story but yeah... Written while I was in a writing slump and trying to do exercises to get myself out of said slump.

I do not own Megaman and I do not wish to own Megaman. This is just a work of fanfiction.

The first thing he saw was a panicked robo-girl running back and forth in front of a video screen on the side of the road that had just broadcast Wily as he kidnapped all of Dr. Light's robots but her. The blonde haired and blue eyed girl was dressed in red. His favorite color. Had he met her before? Nah, but he knew who she was. That was Roll, one of Dr. Light's two helper robots. That made her his little sister.

"Calm down, sis." His voice seemed a touch too deep for his stature, but it was his, so what did he care? Crossing his arms over his chest, the wind blew at just the right time when she looked over to see the heroic looking Protoman, yellow scarf flapping in the wind, looking all cool.

"Who..." Roll turned around and then jumped in surprise. "Protoman?" She had been told about him... Dr. Light's first robot. Forget that Dr. Wily also had a hand in making him... Nothing Light did could be bad.

"That's my name." Proto said. "Though you could call me Blues as well."

"Alright... Blues! It's terrible... HORRIBLE! Dr. Wily just kidnapped all my brothers!"

"Not all of them." Proto said as he took a few steps toward his little sister. "I don't like it, but I'll work with Dr. Light to get them back."

"Really?!" Roll asked, grabbing him by the arm. "But... it's a lot to ask... he's probably reprogrammed them. Can you fight all of them?!"

"Me? Hmph. Don't be such a pessimist. Things will work out in the end. Never forget that... Never give up!" The wind picked up again, blowing the robot's scarf again. Maybe he had a remote controlled fan for moments like this...
