X-Men: New Bloods: Origins. Linabell.
It was cold outside and Linabell did not want to go, but she knew that she must. If not they were going to get her. The MRD (Mutant Response Division) were going to come and get her that night, and she knew it to be true. So it was either run away and try to get away or stay and let them take her away that was they would do heavens knew what to her. It was not her fault that she was a mutant. It was not as if she asked to be born this way so that her parents could leaver her at a orphanage at the age of 3 where her powers had fist shown up. It was a sad life for her, but she did not complain and tried to make the best out of it.
How long would it be before they noticed that she was gone, or would anyone even care. No one pay attention to her, and she was mistreated in the orphanage. No one wanted a mutant girl in their mists. No one…
Linabell opened the door and stepped out in to the cold. A gust of wind came and almost knocked the child off her feet. She was about to scream but did not. She knew that if she screamed that not only would she wake the whole orphanage. Her voice was soft and meek, but that did not mean that her vocals were not powerful and ear splitting as her screams were.
The first time she had learned of her shrikes was at the age of 3 when she had fallen out of a swing and had broken her arm. The pain had had been mind boggling to the child and when she let had out a cry of pain all the glass near by shattered, and people fell to the floor holding their hands to their ears. That was she knew she was different, a mutant. That was when her parents were disgusted with their child, they hated her for being who she was and they left her. Abandoned their only child, at the age of 3 !
Why was it that humans and living things by nature hated what they did not understand ? It happened all through out history and it did not look like it was going to stop anytime soon. It appeared as if being a mutant was the most veil thing on Earth. They only received hateful words, aggressive actions, and rejection from the whole world. It was if people had lost their humanity when it came to mutants. Even if the mutant was a child.
