It had been one month after the dream Ashley had. Now this was the recital. The recital Vanessa has been practicing for, talked about, and concentrated on. Lucas would be there cheering Vanessa on. So would be the two families' soon to be one family. Ashley's parents had invited Lucas's parents to watch Vanessa's dance recital. Ashley took a seat beside Lucas.

The Recital began, the music that started was a soft sound, and classy people came out. Then all of a sudden the classic music turned loud and contemporary. Ashley stared wide eyed at her beautiful sister coming out on to the stage. She wasn't the only one that was staring at her sister Vanessa. In the corner of her eye, she saw Lucas staring at her sister like her sister was some goddess.

"Wow, Vanessa is so good!" Ashley said

"No, she's not just great, she's perfect and complete" Lucas replied

Ashley looked at Lucas with so much disappointment.

"Ashley, have noticed that my bother, Lucas looks like he's in love with Vanessa." Lucas's younger brother Corbin teases.

As the show went on, Lucas kept on praising Vanessa. Ashley just sat there, listening to how much the love of her life was praising her sister. At least that was all she could do, at that moment anyways.

The recital had ended everyone stood up, and clapped. Ashley slowly got to her feet and started to join everyone else's clapping. She started to cheer for her sister, accompanied by Lucas's clapping and cheering.

"VANESSA!!" Ashley's parent's cheered.

"Aren't you proud having a daughter like her?" Ashley's mom asked her dad.

"Yes, she's always made me proud." Her father answered.

As Ashley was listening to this, she couldn't help but feel a pinch of jealousy. When would her parents ever praise her like that? She was always the daughter that her parents were ashamed to talk about, unlike Vanessa. Vanessa was always the star.

"I can't believe how great Vanessa is!" Ashley said

"I knew she would be this good, ever since we were little." Lucas added

"I remember! You said that she was a swan and I was a duck." Ashley recalled "I am warming you, don't call me that again." Ashley warned teasingly

"Are you sure? Didn't you read fairy tales? One day the duck will be a goose like the rest." Lucas replied
