Inspired by the song 'Alive' by SR-71
All she's asking is for a little more time,
To walk away from his anger and leave the bruises far behind
She won't talk about it...she's made up her mind
But as the front door shuts behind her she whispers "give me a sign."
Sakura looked stared at the newest bruises that he gave her, only after she left does she look at the damage. "He doesn't mean to do it" kept repeating in Sakura's mind. Those words were the only thing that got her through her daily beatings. The reason today was for asking to talk to him, the beating was to 'teach' her, her place.
Feels the power of the engine as she climbs to 65
Every piston sounds like freedom, every white line says goodbye
She'll find strength in her anger and the truth in his lies
When the last scar finally fades she'll have a new life
Sakura looked at her home, her prison. Deciding to get some fresh air and to train she went to the training grounds and exercised. After she ran, the way the wind caressed her hair only made her run faster, and faster, and faster. And every tree only encouraging her to run faster. Realizing her potential freedom only made her dormant anger flare, bringing an array of emotions and memories.
"Thank you"
"It's a promise of a life time!"
"With just you remaining, I'll be returning to active duty. I trust you'll be fine under Tsunade's tutelage"
Setting her heart ablaze,
Say goodbye to Mr. Right
Lock the door, turn out the light
Pack your bags, leave this trap
Run away, don't look back
See another day with each new sun
Your life has just begun
This move would make her a missing nin, to leave the village like this. But it would be worth it, worth all who would look for and hunt her. Racing back she grabbed her pre-packed back pack, the one every ninja has incase of a sudden mission. Once the pack was on her back and, once she was out of her house, their house no his house, she ran. She ran and ran and never looked back at her childhood hopes and childhood crush. And not once did she look behind because there was nothing left for her at Konoha. She was leaving, just like he did except he left for revenge and for power she was leaving for freedom.
And unlike him, she wouldn't come back.
She can still feel the touch of his hand
Not just the violence but the warmth of her man
She ran and ran and didn't stop. She didn't know where she was going but all she cared was that it was away. There was times when she was tempted to go back, back to her bed, her bed with him. His kisses, his caresses, him holding her, but the memory of the sting of his hand when he hit her stopped it. But so far not even the warmth of his body could make go back.
The night she never felt so alive
even though it feels so cold outside
It's the first time I've ever seen her smile
The wind through her hair was more then enough inspiration to keep running, even the cold biting of the wind didn't deter her determination. And then she smiled,a true smile after what seemed years.
----------
Naruto was about to catch her and drag her back to Konoha, that was the plan until he saw her, her smile. It was only then did he realize that her smile went missing. And once he saw her smile he knew that he could never hurt that smile. And it that meant letting her go then so be it.
"It's the first time I've ever seen her smile."

All right tell me what you think, I know its not much but I'm content with it.
